About: Clove essential oil has a spicy, earthy scent that is enjoyable for its pleasing aroma and therapeutic properties. Beneficial for the immune system, as well as for soothing muscles, joints and discomfort, Clove essential oil is often used in massage oils and diffuser blends. The oil is also excellent for cleansing air and surfaces, and can be added to cleaning products.

Common Uses: A potent oil, clove should only be applied topically at the low dilution rate of < 1% (6 drops in 1oz carrier oil). Several drops may also be used in an ultrasonic diffuser.

Blending Recommendations: Clove is comforting and warming with a spicy, earthy scent. It is a base and middle note when used in blending. Clove has a powerful smell and should be used lightly in most situations.

Safety Information: Do not use with children under 2 years old. May be irritating to sensitive skin and mucus membranes. Do not consume orally if taking blood thinners. Always use diluted.

Maximum Adult Dilution: 1%; 6 drops per ounce of carrier
