Good Samaritan vs. Immunity Boost

Good Samaritan vs. Immunity Boost

In our assortment here at Pranarom we offer a variety of essential oil based formulas to support the immune system. Two of our best-sellers of all time are our Good Samaritan and our Immunity Boost Wellness Blends. At a cursory glance, these two products seem to provide the same benefits. In actuality, their formulas were created for two very different purposes, with usage and safety precautions reflecting this. So which blend should you choose? Here is a little cheat sheet to help.

Immunity Boost

Our Immunity Boost Wellness Blend is designed to help you maintain your immune system on a daily basis. Composed of a trio of relatively gentle essential oils (Lavender, Eucalyptus Radiata & Tea Tree), it can be used throughout the year for general wellness support.

Because this blend is on the mild side, it's a great option for topical application as well as diffusion. Try adding it to lotion for a DIY vapor rub, or adding a few drops to your dry brushing routine to support lymphatic drainage.

Good Samaritan

Good Samaritan, which is based on the legendary blend of citrus, spices and herbs used during the bubonic plague of the 1300s, is our heavy hitter for immune support. Very potent, this blend is meant to be used for shorter periods of time when you feel a specific threat to your wellbeing. For example, it is a favorite of ours for the back to school season when your immune system is being bombarded with influences that it's not used to.

Because Good Samaritan contains Cinnamon Bark, Cinnamon Leaf & Clove essential oils, it is imperative to heavily dilute this blend before applying it topically. This goes for DIY hand soaps, cleaning products, hand sanitizers, etc... A little goes a very long way whenever essential oils are being used, but this is especially the case with Good Samaritan. If in doubt, try our pre-blended Good Samaritan Defense Roller for topical use, or our Good Samaritan Defense Spray for cleaning/air purifying purposes.
