How to Use Essential Oil Blends
There are three primary ways to use essential oil blends. Here’s a quick guide to each method:
1. Diffusers
Essential oil diffusers work by dispersing tiny droplets of essential oil into the air so they can be inhaled and provide deep, healing aromatherapy benefits. They come in different styles, ranging from small personal diffusers to large ones that can scent an entire room — so you’ll need to do a bit of research to find the best fit for your needs. To use one, you simply fill the device with water, add your blend of essential oils, turn it on, and wait for the pleasant scents to waft through your space!
2. Topical Application
When applying essential oils to the skin, you should generally use a carrier oil to dilute the essences and prevent skin irritation. Carrier oils are oils that have been cold-pressed from seeds, fruits or nuts. They help to "carry" the essential oil onto the skin.
